Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : The morning was very cold, and yet she was already outdoors and roaming the hundred acres of her lands, ensureing her markings were still in place, and also just getting a much better feel of the land, and the woods which surround her home. -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : This would become a ritual for her now that she was settling down once again in one place. Usually by now she was traveling to where the winds blow, or to where the sun rose and then set. She never had a set path before. So it was the drowess was-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : enjoying the fresh air, and scenery. Her cloak was drawn around her to keep her warm and her staff was at her side rested casually in her hands as she picked her way over rock and covered ground. The solace was comforting, and it once more allowed for-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : her to reorginize herself. Her thoughts were heavy but not in the sence that they truly bothered her. She was one of those take things as they go, deal with reprecussions or problems as they arose. It would have been years ago when she was a goal -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : oriented Matron. Her eyes were always cast to some form of future, and she worked to obtain the goal set forth before her. Now it was so different for her. Perhaps her marriage helped in that sence, but also her job as a high chancellor which forced her-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : to face the many races and speicies in order to keep peace or at least handle problems that aided her the most in training her to control her emmotions, and set up those barriers around her mind. Sighing lightly she emerged from the forests at the -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : front of her home. Looking at the structure there was a well pride in knowing she had built it, and designed it. It was large now that she thought upon it, but then she was used to having people forever coming and going from her abode. Most of the time -
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : it had been her own children. That was a sore spot in her, they were all alive and she kept track upon them regularly, but they no longer had anything to do with her in thirty years, not since their father fell to his death. The selfish bastard, it-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : could still cause anger and guilt to rise up within her. That fight had been their worst, and ultimately their last as well. Did she kill him herself? No she hadn't but she had told he could just go die somewhere she was tired of pretending any longer -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : that he hadn't broken his vow. Shaking her head to rid them of those memories she walked to her home and paused at the threashold with her hand upon the handle of the door that was opened. Looking into the gently illuminated room before her and the-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : silence which greeted her. Yes.. this was how her life was now and she did not regret the choices she's made since. She was a woman no longer burdened by her past. She had accepted it all, and merely looked for the morning that she actually awoke and -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : could live yet another day now. -f-
Xander : -The door of the wagon was thrown open, the hound quickly jumping out and running off to do whatever it had in mind "Stupid..." a myriad of curses followed behind the word in a low grumble as the merchant pulled the door shut and walked back to continue Xander : cleaning up the wagon that was slowly turning into a mess after looking through boxes the other day and not to mention he had to fix the special door for the damn hound. Moving boxes around, stacking them in an order he'd remember what was what he came
Xander : upon one that he shouldn't open here though so far no check ups had come, then again he only had his goods out two of the days he had been here. Putting it down infront of his bench he took a seat, hand rubbing the left one for a moment as he had been
Xander : putting far too much pressure on the damn thing so early in the day, finally he opened the box, eyes scanning the different color coded leather pouches. Maybe he should have used one of those on that damn fox, could have been fun to see one of her kind
Xander : react to the different effects. His cloak was pulled from the end of the bench, hands searching through the several pockets that had been put onto it and pulling out an almost empty purple coded pouch, he hadn't needed it here so far but then he had
Xander : only sold those cloths to the female Drow and well, it wasn't that appealing to stick around if nothing got sold so a new one was picked from the box, stuffed into the pocket with the one he had just pulled out, cloak tossed back to the end of the
Xander : bench, if he was to go on the road again it wouldn't hurt to have that one handy. Closing up the box he returned it to it's own stack before the table was picked up and carried outside to be placed at the side of the wagon. A few boxes that had been
Xander : put aside were carried out, the wares in them taken out once he was finished and placed on the table, jewelery in the front, a few books put near the back and in between several scrolls, medicines and gloves, reminded by the elf the previous day of
Xander : the chance they could actually sell here during this time of the year.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She stepped within the home, but only for a moment, she glanced around it's interior and the placement of furnishings and such she had done last night and well was satisfied. But she was beginning to feel hungry. So she took a pouch from within one of -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : her many casks about the room, judged the weight as the coins chimed and clattered together. It would be fine, she thought as she drew it beneath her cloak and hid it somewhere beneath it, either upon her or in the cloak was left to be known only by -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : her .Turning back around she double checked some other things on her way back to the door. and just mentally filed away things she would need to get -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Maybe it was time to set up a time or a day to have that gathering at her place with Xander.. yes.. that seemed trivial to her and for what reasons she was not quite yet all together sure of. Still the etched and carved door of oak was closed behind-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : her. Because of the weather the past few days. Slush, and mud sucked at her boots with each step she took through the forest line that would take her between Mason's home and the tea house, and out to the front area of this village of sorts. -f-
Xander : -As final piece the stool was brought out, placed near enough to the wagon so Xander could sit on it and lean his back against the side of the wagon. Left leg was stretched out, cane resting at his side while he looked up, pondering hanging up the
Xander : canvas in case it would start raining. Meanwhile the hound had finished it's hunting and was running back towards the merchant's area, paying little attention to who it passed so when it almost ran in on the Drowess there was no look back, not even a
Xander : growl, it simply kept up it's run until it finally reached the wagon. Padding over to Xander it sat down next to him, movement freezing up to have it seem it was just a simple statue that perhaps could be for sale, illusion only broken by the clouds of
Xander : breath rising up from it's nostrils. Normally the merchant would order it to get inside the wagon, not everyone was drawn to a dirty grey dog with bloodshot eyes but after all the trouble of the past few days he wouldn't be surprised if everyone knew
Xander : of the beast already, small settlement after all.-
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : Ani stepped out of the magicaly created shelter, managed to find the nail and cast the spell once more as to ensure the structure did not vanish and leave her belongings floating on top of the water that permiated the ground. Why was she out in the -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : cold yet again when she could be lounging inside her little structure. Polo thumped her nose into Ani's back in both greeting and with a playfulness. ~Lets go swiming today yes?~ If sanity was measured by the sort of look a creature received, then -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : Ani thought Polo had absolutly lost her reptilian mind. "Not a chance. I'd rather detour through Hell, all Ten levels mind you." That wasn't exactly true, but there was no way she was dipping her already chilled self into a frigid winter river. Polo-c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : made a whirring sound that wasn't quite a purr, but more like a chuckle perhaps. ~Don't know what your missing.~ Was the last cohesive phrase the dragon deposited into her mind before Polo lumbered off through the trees for a romp in the river. Ani -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : watched her go for a moment before trudging her way though the flora and fauna in the general direction of the tea house. Breakfast and then shopping, or vise versa, she'd decide once she reached the building. -d
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : The hoffing of breath and the sounds of nails digging into the sloshy ground had her turning, and litterally hopping up as the hound came barreling out from the woods behind her and headed right at her. Grumbling at the hound as it continued to dash-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : straight for the wagon, she saw Xander resting on a stool as she landed with a splattering of mud to flow away from her booted feet. Taking a breath she began to walk forward again. A smile curving her ebony tiers as she approached the wagon instead of-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : going to the tea house for breakfast. It was truly set up outside and well she had wanted to disscuss with the merchant the showing at her home of those.. 'item's ' he kept out of sight and view of everyone. Their signatures lingered however, the -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : closer she came to the wagon, and she was even more curiouse as to the nature of what they were. Still for the time being as she drew forward she spoke. " Morning Xander... I see your opened early.." Ahh there was that pesky hound, and she gave him -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : a look that said . ' you need to watch where your running' but without the words to go along with such. Instead she murmured. " And you as well hound.. " she greeted the gangrel with out a thought as to how strange it might appear for her to greet a-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : 'mere' dog. Of course she knew otherwise it wasn't. Pausing at the table, her cloak rustling as it settled in closing about her frame fully once again, she let her gaze scan the items in view, with a thoughtful mein. -f-

The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal. Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal.   The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal. EmptyFri Nov 21, 2008 12:14 pm

Xander : -A polite nod was extended towards the Drowess as she greeted him "Morning miss Alaun. It's never early for a merchant miss." The glance to the hound was noticed and the canine smirk it flashed back to the Drowess simply had Xander shaking his head
Xander : "Behave..." the word was whispered though he knew Alaun had been perfectly able to hear it, she was a Drow after all. The hound of course listened to it's master and gave a bow of it's head towards the Drow "Please except my apology miss." that low,
Xander : accept -_-))
Xander : deep voice came forth again, though it was obviously a forced submission since the hellhound had no reason to fear a Drow. "Is there anything I can be of service to you today miss?" He followed her gaze over the items on the table, quite sure simple
Xander : items as displayed would hold little interest for her, perhaps a few of the books but they were mostly stories and history so again quite some doubt she'd be interested in those.-
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : Stepping out from the tree line, she paused in a patch of sunlight to feel it warm her face a moment. Jovial sounds of delight were humming along her mental link with Polo, that dragon would be a distraction in the mind area for a while it seemed. -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : Doing her best to filter out the worst of the mental projections. Violet eyes shifted about to peer about the area. Oh delightful, the merchat was set up this morning already, looks like shopping would be first on the list of things to do. Taking -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : note of both the hell hound as it bounded across the area as well as the other patron who was revealed to be a drow as she drew nearer. As Xander was already speaking with her, Ani took the opportunity to look over the tables and what he already had -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : set out for a day of business. -d
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She smiled at the Hound and gave him a bit of a wink " Accepted my dear hound.. " Was she surprised the hound could speak? Of course not and so it was her attention shifted back to Xander as he spoke of being of her service. She canted her snowy crowned-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : head partially in a manner of thought. " I wished to speak with you on setting up that meeting.. I was pondering it on my morning walk about the lands. Whenever is best for you of course is fine with me. " She studied the books lifting them with her-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : dark hands with a carefulness of the work contained within them. She'd open the cover and peer at the leaflets with gentle turnings, almost reverent were her actions and as she skimmed the words written within she would set it down or simply set it -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : aside to be purchased. Books where to Alauniira like blood in the veins of every being. Needed, and useful for many things. Even if it was simply history on something, it was knowledge to learn for her, and she had a secret obsession of gaining -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : knowledge of any sort. Still she even looked at the tinkets and baubles. The gems in thier shimmering from the cast of the sun upon them, or how they were set in by a jeweler's craftmenship also caught her gaze and she spent time looking over each.-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Now and then lifting one or two within her palm with fingers closed over it to feel the life or the essence within the stone for it's strength and genuine quality. " Also I think these things I'll take as well.. they could be useful for something or -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : rather. " She placed two trinkets atop the book she'd set aside and then placed them closer to the merchant to see what he would ask for a price for the gathered items. Her gaze of violet studying him with a mysteriouse light dancing within thier -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : fathomless depths. Just what was the drowess thinking or contemplating on?-f- Xander : -A nod was extended to the elf as she approached the table, a small hint of amusement over the realisation so far his only really interested customers were in a way similar yet different at the same time. "Perhaps today?" Xander wasn't a fool, what he
Xander : had on his table right now was low profit and if the Drowess was interested in his more off the market goods he'd try to get such a meeting scheduled sooner than later. "Of course I must ask for a moment so I can help the other lady." Low profit or not
Xander : a sale was still a sale and since he could garantue the quality it'd be good word of mouth around the, so far, small settlement. Cane was pulled from the side of the wagon and placed firmly, as much as possible in the muddy ground, down to help himself
Xander : up, the pull in his left leg obviously worse today than both had been able to witness days before. He hoped he could hide his surprise over the Drowess' interest in the common goods but how hard could it be as the correct price was already being
Xander : calculated? "Copper for the book." a moment was taken to inspect which trinkets she had picked out, focus more on the stones embedded into them than the rest though the quality of the item itself was certainly taken into consideration "Three gold for
Xander : each of those." A curious look was given to the Drowess, wondering if she'd try to haggle over the price, though if Xander would make an exception for her was yet to be seen, once a price was named he tended to stick with it.-
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : Ani was currently pilfering through the scrolls, always searching for any new spells, or old spells long forgotten. Xander and the drow perhaps would see her fingers wriggling in a weaving motion over them, nothing more then a simple detect magic -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : spell. It might be looked upon as odd for an elf to cast such as they could generally sense such things as their race had existed for so long wraped in it's trendils. It wasn't odd for a mage such as herself who was terribly picky about the scrolls -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : she would bother with. The spell would give her more details of both the quality of the scroll as well as a better grasp of the writen spells capacity. Spells could be of low quality as well, espically if cast by a novice. Her fingers would pluck out-c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : two scrolls that glowed more brightly for her, but as she was about to lift them for a peek, an explosion of wonder and suprise along the mental link with Polo caused her fingers to fumble and drop them back to the table from the force of the thought. -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : ~A dragon! There's another dragon here! I smell him...~ The rest was dampened down as she listened to the young wyrm rant about her findings while wallowing in the river. Ani did well to recover outwardly from that intrusion, picking the scrolls -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : back up. Ah, the necklace was still amongst the others, so she plucked up the exquisite emerald creation. Ani understood her familuar's excitement, she'd never met another dragon since her arrival in the world. -d
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : As she awaited for Xander to give her a price for the items she had picked up, she looked towards the woman beside her. Who suddenly fumbled with a couple of scrolls as if surprised by something. Violets narrow but not in a harsh manner, but one of -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : inquisitiveness. Had she felt the subtle use of a searching spell a moment ago? She had for she was sensitive to such a thing, but she gave an incline of her head to the woman, recalling her from the tavern a few days ago, when she had been enjoying tea-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : and the company of Xander. " Morning. " She'd murmure to the woman before looking back to Xander as he rose up from his stool. That leg was stiffer than usual, but she didn't focus on it overly long as she thought upon the price of the goods in which-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : she held within her hand. A book on some history, and a few gem strinkets that could be used for magical purposes. Had he hid his surprise good enough? Of course not but Alaun merely gave him one of those mysteriouse little curlings to the corner of -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : her mouth. There wwas many uses for even those which held no magical properties to the eye or the less observant. It was all in the manner of what the uses would be for how fortunate the find even if appearing simply 'common' could be useful to her. -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : " Six gold and a copper.. " she reiterated his offer, though it seemed the talk of their meeting was to be waited upon for an answer. Instead she reached into the folds of her cloak, her arms seen moving around as she gathered the pouch she'd taken from-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : home that morning and stuck inside out. With the pouch resting on her palm she untied the drawstring, only to take out the coins asked for by that of Xander. " Here you are then." -f-

PostSubject: Re: The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal.   The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal. EmptyFri Nov 21, 2008 12:14 pm

Xander : -A quick look was shot towards the elf as she let the scrolls drop back down onto the table "Are you alright miss?" Of course his attention was quickly pulled away as the Drowess repeated the price he had just stated. Again he shot her that curious
Xander : look though when she produced the pouch from underneath the cloak there was no longer a falter in that typical merchant's smile, a nod of his head given as he accepted the payment "Bel'la dos miss." Of course the language was spoken with an obvious
Xander : accent but then the merchant had only started to pick it up over the last few years, his Elven was more fluid thanks to the fact he had been dealing with Elves pretty much ever since he had become a merchant. "Perhaps if you will allow me some time we
Xander : can come back on the other matter?" Of course he couldn't wait too long and soon his attention was on Ani "It's a pleasure to meet you again miss." again a nod of his head before hands moved into one of the pockets from his cloak, the pair of gloves
Xander : she had seemed interested in the other day pulled out "I have taken the liberty to set these aside for you. What can I be of service with for you today?"-
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : So much for appearing settled and graceful, though as the dragon had gotten curious enough to venture near the wagon the previous day, they might perhaps understand if they realised the garnet gem dragon was her familuar. "Yes, quite fine. Just -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : funny thought is all." That was an understatement, but Ani hadn't even advertised her inate abilities nor bosted of details about her life situations. Turning for a moment, ever the diplomat, to the drowess as she'd been greeted, she bowed her head -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : slightly before giving her own greeting. Slipping into the Dark elven language was fluid for her, having learned it from an old blind drowess who had been a fellow guild member. "Bwael Kre'tan." Her knack for learning languages was something that her-c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : godfather had instilled in her before she had learned to read. Such knowledge had served her well in her life of magics. She knew the drow to be skilled in many unique and very powerful arcane workings, so respect was always given to her dark elven -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : cousins with a genuine air most might not. As Xander presented her with the gloves she'd laid eyes on the day before, she would smile. It was faint and almost unseen, though it shown in the set of her violet almond shaped eyes. "I appreciate your -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : forsight. Please call me Ani. Ani Shadowhunter." The merchant offered her a few options for possible profit as well, she wasn't above charging for her magical workings. That could be discussed at a later time however. "I'd like these two scrolls -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : and this." Holding up the emerald necklace she made him an offer before a price could be set. "For a discount, I'd be willing to leave you with a business card as it were." Charging the stone and returning it to the merchant it had origorinaly -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : purchased from was a good way to get the occasional patron. Magic users who were willing to offer services rarely needed a vast number of clientele, just enough to break the monotonous study they often submersed themselves in. -d
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : "Dosst al'doer" was spoken in kind to Xander and well her snowy brow arched just slightly in intrigue as he had spoken the language rather well for a human. Even with the accent he held on the language it was understandable enough, and surprisingly -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : though it had come from a human, she was.. pleased.. So smoothly had she shifted from the common tongue which she spoke with hardly a recognizable accent into her native tongue without hinderance or even a alteration of her tonations. She gathered up-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : that which she had paid for, and as he spoke of holding the offer they were disscussing till later she inclined her head lightly. " of course , if you would like join me for breakfast. I will go retreive it and then bring it to my abode. " There-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : was his answer after all, to doing such today. And it was gracefully concealed in an offer to share a meal, her treat of course since he had been graciouse enough to pay for the tea a couple of days ago. Arrow-tipped ears twitched subtly as the woman-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : beside her spoke once xander had moved over to help her, and she herself stepped back from the table to allow their exchange to take place in a respectful manner. She would wait of course for Xander's acceptance or decline of her offer, while tucking-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : away the items purchased within the folds of her silvery cloak. -f-
Xander : -Xander of course didn't pry, merely accepted the explenation given and waited to see how he could help her today. When introductions were given Xander dipped his torso forward slightly, a light twitch of the left leg as he stood up straight again
Xander : "Xander, your humble servant miss Shadowhunter." A quick glance over the scrolls was giving, a small mark upon them notifying him they were of magical nature and well, that just brought up a certain issue "I do hope you do not mind miss but I do not
Xander : sell such scrolls to just any customer." Oh no, he had learned that lesson quite early in his career "Certain...mishaps in the past are what force me to sadly ask proof of your skill within the subject." Xander hated questioning his customers but if it
Xander : prevented him from being blamed about certain accidents with the spells he sold then it was a small price to pay, the fact she was elven didn't change a thing about it as he had seen plenty of fumbling ones during his travels. "If this hasn't offended
Xander : you I am willing to consider the discount." A moment was taken to look towards the Drowess, another nod extended "Thank you for the offer miss, I of course accept." And with that he hoped he'd be forgiven for devoting his complete attention to Ani now.-
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : Due to the fact that Xander made a warranted request, she nodded while setting the items to the desk. "No offense taken. I've no qualms about validating myself." She bowed her head in a diplomatic fashion and reintroduced herself. "I am Ani -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : Shadowhunter, Guildmistress to the Relm of Lakewood, magical advisor to her Majesty Lady Jessica." It was a formal greeting she often used in court, though it had been near 7 years since she had set foot in the palace itself, nearly six since departing-c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : on her sebatical (sp?). As a demonstration, she focused her attention oddly enough to the very ground beneith their feet and tables. Lifting her slender hands he would watch her weaving magics from the very air, forming them into a pattern as she -c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : chanted the power words to activate it's effects. "Ter sai Myli." The words were only a focus for the reaction so they held no real power of their own. Once the magics seeped into the muck beneith their feet, Xander would notice that it was hardening-c
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : into stone in a good ten foot area. It wasn't a uniform shape, neither boxed or circular, it simply looked like the ground had solidified in a natual guise. -d
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : SHe caught the nod of acceptance and truly that was all she needed for now. Of course she did not mind that his attention in full returned to Ani, after all she was about to purchase some magical scrolls and well who could blame the merchant for needing-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : validation to skill when such was wanted? Not she, and so she turned smartly on the heels of her feet, and strolled with deadly silence away from the duo at the stand to the tea house a few feet away in the distance. She would be true to her words that-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : she offered the merchant. OF course she wasn't particularly looking forward to entering the establishment, but only because so many sounds were eminating from within and already her ears were picking up on the muted tone of voices within the structure.-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : When the stairs were reached she paused just outside, if only to take a breath before the door was opened and she eased across the threashold with a tapping of her boots upon the sill to rid of the mud and such gathered on her soles. She uprighted the-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : staff within her hand as well once fully within to remain close to her side yet upright to not by accident hit a person with the object that thrummed so lively in her grasp. With the door closing behind her she adjusted her sights and focused on the -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : room a moment. So many wiithin and of course now that the wall no longer protected the voices from being so loud, they came to her with even more clarity than they had just a moment ago. Shaking her head snow silvery tresses weaved against her smooth-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : ebony planes, as she sought to weave around the tables and head towards the counter. -f-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : change counter to Kitchen)
Xander : -Well if this wasn't proof of her abilities then what would be? The merchant was convinced and started counting up the price for the scrolls "Thank you for that miss, again I am sorry to have bothered you with this but I am sure you understand the
Xander : need for such." A small shift in stance was needed, the pressure on that left leg becoming far too much even with the aid of the cane, eyes glancing over the other marking to note what spells were held on the scrolls "Two silver for each scroll miss."
Xander : of course there was that discount she had been talking about and a business card. "Now please, do explain this discount you were talking about miss. I am quite curious as to why you believe I should give you one." Xander would of course accept a decent

Xander : of course there was that discount she had been talking about and a business card. "Now please, do explain this discount you were talking about miss. I am quite curious as to why you believe I should give you one." Xander would of course accept a decent

¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : He did grasp where she was going with her proposition, however she had one alteration to his understanding. "Not only gems can be charged. I will pay you full price for what ever item to be charged, there would be no cost to you." Ani wasn't in -c

Svataril : "No, friend, the stick is still firmly in place. I doubt it's going to move anytime soon - in fact, I'd offer decent odds that you would forget about larceny before my stick left me." Pause. Listening to the conversations around him... and Svataril's>
Svataril : head would fall against the tabletop. "But the bit I really hate about being a paladin? It's this bit, right here. Watch my things. If anything's missing when I get back, I'm assuming you took it and charging you for the loss." A reasonable precaution to>
Svataril : take around an admitted thief. With a slight sigh, Svataril would stand. The explanation, as he walked over to the table at which Spearow and Yumi had gathered, was delivered back over his shoulder. "The code of our order requires me to offer charity>
Svataril : where it is both necessary and reasonable to do so. Unfortunately, as an elder dragon, you cannot really say that some random human child's bar tab is an unreasonable sum for you to pay. Unless they've got a caviar addiction, that is. And even then I>

Svataril : some assistance, if you desire it... There are no conditions, no strings. A simple donation because my goddess demands it... if you are willing to receive such."
Aerine : The fox pouted slightly through the mask of his human guise, but kept those blue eyes on the dragon's possessions. The elder was an interesting thing to have as companion, even if only for brief conversations in a tea house. Yume had arrived, bringing
Aerine : with her a steaming cup that made him smile. "Thank you dear." As she left he shook his head. Such a quiet girl. His hands held the cup, but after a moment a small pouch was pulled out to drop coin on the table to pay for the beverage. "Silly dragon. I
Aerine : am not so stupid as to try and steal from one who could singe my fur." Or rather, he didn't much care about the singe. He wouldn't steal from one he counted as friend. That was just the way this kitsune felt about such things. Aerine regarded the
Aerine : other's helping the children, but found that it wasn't his place to say anything about it. Too many kits couldn't provide for themselves. It was no wonder his race had a reputation for stupidity. Spearow : "" Hazel eyes drifted in the mans direction and she seemed both offended and taken back by his kindness. Offended because he came off as arrogant. To tell her what was or wasn't reasonable to be able to afford inclined that he had some sense of self c>

Spearow : yourself, don't you. You walk up here for all to see. And next time don't let your left hand know c> Spearow : what your right hand is doing! " her cheeks where red as she continued to talk, her litle ody trembling in front of the man. "" now please sir..get away from us..
Xander : -The merchant gave a quick nod in understanding "I see...Well I would be lieing if I told you I am not interested in such a partnership miss Shadowhunter." A push of the hound to his leg derailed his thoughts for a moment, hand moving to push the

Xander : giving her quite the discount but as he was discontinuing their talk for a partnership in business and it could be seen as if he was trying to run her off it was quite justified in his opinion.-
¤΅?η?Sh??oωhυ?t??΅¤ : With out haggling or barter, she withdrew the three silvers from the small pouch in her palm and paid for her items. The gloves were pulled on as soon as her hands were free before the scrolls were lifted and vanished into pockets hidden inside her -c

Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She just shook her head at the rudness of some people. She almost felt inclined to save them all the prattle and casting a mute spell on the little twit of a woman, especially when speaking to a dragon in such a manner. Even she a drow had respect for-c-

Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : for those who have already witnessed such a blathering of poision from the woman before hand. The staff went more or less silent however after the words had finnished being spoken, and it was lowered with a deep bow of her head to the dragon before-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : the drowess turned about and made her way to the door that would take her outside fully, with no explination of what she had done, or the why of it being done. Call it a minor punnishment upon the woman for not once uttering rude comments to another but-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : twice now that she had witnessed such drivil from the woman. Adjusting the load within her arm, she crouched partially to reach the handle to open it so she could leave the tea house. She did have a meeting to get to and she wished not to keep them -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : waiting overly long nor to have the food go cold before it could be consumed.-f-
Aerine : His arm rested on the table as he sipped his tea, chin resting in his palm as he watched the dragon's things with the occassional glance to those around him. He wasn't much paying attention to the magic in the little teahouse, rather more interested
Aerine : in the reactions that would take place after the drow was gone. That grin showed a hint of fang now, his wonder of how people could be so cruel to one another with words and attitudes amusing him for the time being. Such strange things you would find
Aerine : happening where more than a few gathered. His chuckle was low, and a bit raspy. Not the bark of his laughter at all. "Little foxes should take care of themselves, not depend on the help of others. If you need food, and have no money, hunt or drink
Aerine : water. You're a demon and an animal, not a human. No coin should mean that you sleep outside and live from your roots. Such a disgrace the new generation is to the race." Xander : -The merchant hadn't followed the elf towards the teahouse, he couldn't just leave his wares behind after all. A moment of rest was taken before items were gathered and reboxed, working on getting everything inside, limp growing worse with every step
Xander : he took. However once the table and boxes had been put back in the wagon he could finally focus on other matters, boxes being put on the bench for the meeting with the Drowess. A mental note had been taken to seek out Ani again at a later time for their Xander : meeting but as he had told her, he was taking every oppertunity coming his way one at a time. "She's coming..." The deep voice had Xander turn around, the hound standing in the doorway looking towards the teahouse "The Drowess." As if it knew Xander
Xander : was going to inquire. "In or out of the wagon, how you go there is up to you." As Xander moved out of the wagon so did the hound, staying close to it's master's side who worked on getting the horse geared up. When done he got up on his seat, holding
Xander : the reins he'd guide the horse in the direction of the teahouse, hound following behind the wagon as a tailguard. Of course he'd stop once he reached the Drowess, he had no idea where her home was after all. "Can I offer you a ride Miss?"-

Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She turned after the door was closed at the sound of Xander's voice filtering to her ears. Looking up as the wagon stilled infront of her she offered a nod of her head. " That would be most graciouse of you. Thank you.. " Of course it wasn't a terribly-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : long walk on foot, but given his legs pension of causing him to hurt, she would aquiesse and take the offered ride. With her arms loaded with the pot of tea and meals. She stepped away from the teahouse and to the wagon where she offered such up to him-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : to place on or below his seat for safe keepings. Then when she only held her staff, the petite drow, gripped the edge of the seat, before using a spoke to haul herself up onto the seat herself to settle beside him. " It is quite busy in there..-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : however, at least one annoying gnat will not give anyone further headaches.. at least for a small bit of time. " Was she pleased with her actions? But of course she was and a smug look entered those violet eyes as she set her staff against her thigh-c-

Svataril : grinning...
Xander : -He took the items handed to him, setting them on the other side of the seat from where the Drowess would soon be sitting down. A small moment of observation was given as she worked her way onto the seat though as she sat down and mentioned the busy
Xander : nature of the teahouse at this moment he couldn't help but chuckle as she spoke about the annoying person, perhaps he should have called in the aid of the Drowess with the fox before setting her free, ah well it was too late now. "That sounds rather
Xander : amusing." Directions were taken and soon they were off towards her home though it was clear little direction or guiding had to be applied to the horse drawing the wagon, reins held loosely in his hands, perhaps it was the hound following that kept the
Xander : horse in line? Or perhaps this was another...gift...which had certain advantages. "I hope you do not mind that the beast is following, it is rather...protective at times."-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Oh it was most fortunate that she wasn't in t here when the dragon, undid her spell.. for it would not have boded wellf or the dragon at all. Yet she wasn't there and so did not know that it had been reversed. Instead she was on the wagon with Xander-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : and as it moved forward to go between the Tea house and Mason's home, she took into consideration his words on the hound. She turned her head and twisted at the waist enough to see the hell beast following along, before she straightened herself back -c-

Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : and loyalty performed for her. No she had the place to herself now and, since it's finishing Xander would be the first to see it all furnished and set up. As they passed the back door of the Tea house she looked towards the building with a quiet -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : expression to relax upon those articulate features. She thought she caught his shape moving past a window, but was not certain. A sigh left her and she once more focused upon what was at hand and coming forth with this meeting she'd arranged with Xander-

Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : she inclined her head to him and moved inside as he went to the back of the wagon to gather things. Within she moved around the sitting room with eae, the food was set on a banquet, and her staff was set in a corner, but never once was it leaning, it -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : forever remained upright on it's own will. While he moved in and out she kept the door opened, removing her cloak and hanging it up on a peg, in which her braid was tossed then off her shoulder. The items she' d purchased that morning were taken from-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : a pouch on her side and carried to the table before a couch of intricate surface design. Not at all was her home mirroring of those in the underdark. But it was a balance between the surface aspects, and her homelands. It just went to proove her story-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : of being on the surface so long was infact true. Straightening she saw him bring in the last box, and also how his leg trembled. " Please have a seat before you collapse on me.. I will not be able to move you otherwise if such occures. " She guestured -c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : to the table with the tall backed chairs. It was large with seating for eight individuals. It could also be used for him to set out the wares he'd carried in if he was incilned to do such. But she moved back to the door and looked out to see if the -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Hound would be joining them, but as it was currently near the wagon she would close the portal and gather up the boxes from the tea house to set out on the table so they could eat, and enjoy some tea while they were at it. -f-
Xander : -The invitation to sit was quite the welcome one so the merchant wasted no time letting himself almost fall down upon the seat, left leg kept stretched out as a hand moved to rub some calmth back into it. "Terribly sorry for this miss, it's the
Xander : weather." or perhaps the fact he had been up all morning restacking his stock and then actually having to move everything in and out of the wagon on his own after standing up far too long. The food was ignored at first in favor of the tea, this time
Xander : taking the role of pouring them both a cup. Once the pot had been set down securely he lifted the cup to his lips, tipping it back to drain it in one go, enjoying the warmth is it moved down his throat to finally settle in his stomach, it's effect soon
Xander : spreading through the rest of his form. Memory searched for the right words though he had never needed this particular sentence he at least knew how to say it, even with his accent "Yugho delmah Lle'warin" He'd keep mostly to common however, no desire
Xander : to offend the Drowess by butchering her language. Leaving the rolls for what they were he started on some of the eggs and bacon, a pleased expression moving over his features as it was the first thing solid he'd have today. "Thank you for the breakfast."-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : im take a seat, and she soon joined him as well at the table. His complimentt was accepted and she murmured breifly. " Thank you.. " While the tea was poured, she took the other light meal that he hadn't taken, and took out the plate within the small-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : box to set before her. The box was removed and set aside for now on one of the empty chairs. " My pleasure truly Xander.. " she would take a few bites, if only to gather her sporadic thoughts and columinate them into a forefront matter at hand and -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : push all other thoughts lingering far back within the recesses of her mind. " So what exactly have you brought for me to see?.. I sence it as i'm sure you know already.. it holds an aura that is distinctive but still ellusive at the same time. " Her -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : violet depths now and then flicked up to him in observance between bites of food, and sipping of the tea. For now it was buissness, and if buissness went -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : well then perhaps she could state more personal questions upon him. -f- Xander : -The meal was set aside as he leaned forward, pulling the closest box over to him "If you have sensed it there is a certain person I must talk to.." the things moving off the items were supposed to have been locked from sense by a certain man he had
Xander : paid good money for such services, seemed he'd have to pay a visit there with the hound. Opening the box one hand would shove the meal aside to make room for the wares. A few necklaces were pulled out, the stones set in them now free from their weakened
Xander : a use use but from this item a distinctive aura could be felt as well by those who were able to "This one... " he turned to the drow, keeping the dagger between his hands, taking obvious care not to cut himself "Perhaps a bit of explenation is needed
Xander : for this one. I am sure you know of these types that immediatly seal off a wound when it is created?" Xander had heard some of the uses for those and well, he was quite glad he never was on the other end of it "This one does quite the opposite, any
Xander : wound created with this will not close, unless you have access to quite the powerful healer that is." Which he did not have so hence how carefully he handled the item, setting it on the table next to the trinkets. Next up were books, a few explained to
Xander : hold recipes for several posions, venoms and, for the fans, a few potions that could help in different kind of situations and a twisted love potion. Others were studies on the subject of necromancy, most of them even. All these were displayed before
Xander : the Drowess, each receiving their own explenation and that would have been the first box.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She likewise pushed the meal away having finnished a good portion of it, which was usually more than she ate on a regular basis at any given meal. She thought nothing of the expanded appetite however, as the items began to be drawn from the box and -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : placed to the table for her to view. Oh she felt the tingling sensation flow through her as each item was carefully set out for her to sight upon. She started with the jewelery of course first. They were most often the best looked over item when it came-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : to magic. The mug of tea was still gripped lightly in her right hand in which she siped as she read a few of the tags. But it was particularly a necklace of rubies that drew her attention most. OR rather it's strong aura she felt coming off the -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : gems. THough she had smirked when he mentioned finding the one who put a special casting over these items so they could not be senced. " No need to do such.. I am just more sensitive than most beings when it comes to magical items..it is not so much-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : what I felt but a song they they throw off to minds skilled in detecting such. Most people would merely hear a very faint hum.. like an insect buzzing around their ears.. so ignore it.. but for me it is clearly a harmonization of sounds that are quite-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : clear. " Would such an explination confuse him? Or would it only bring a little more understanding to things magical? In either case when he drew out the dagger her eyes rivited to it's shape. His explination was truly not needed but then how was he to-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : know of that? Such daggers were a rare, in the fact that most had lost knowledge on how to make them. Those which could heal wounds were just as rare an item and yet if he was to look towards the fire place he would see such a one displayed on the-c-

The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal. Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal.   The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal. EmptyFri Nov 21, 2008 12:19 pm

Xander : -Xander had indeed taken a quick look around the room but most of his attention had been on the Drowess investigating the goods presented to her, of which most used were lost on Xander himself as he held no ability with magic whatsoever, plain Human he Xander : was. Perhaps without knowing Alaun had just saved one poor man from a whole lot of pain, Xander might come over polite but even she would know there was a reason he had a hellhound within his posession. When the request for the source of the dagger
Xander : came the hesitation to answer was obvious "Hmm... I'm not sure if I am at liberty to give out such information miss." After all it was in his best interest to keep that source hidden, even to one such as the Drowess "So please forgive me but I'm afraid
Xander : I'm have to leave you without an answer on that one." Of course he realised it might not be the smartest option to pick when the woman had actually been holding the dagger yet none of that concern was visible as the man simply moved to gather another
Xander : box, glad this was far lighter while holding some of his more loved wares. Once he had seated himself again the box was opened, a few small, leather pouches taken out and put on the table infront of him, each pouch holding it's own color code upon it.
Xander : "Now these... Well they can get me in trouble on any market I try to sell them at but to many the risk is well worth it." A purple coded pouch was lifted and opened, tipping it a small amount of white powder dropped into his scarred hand "This one
Xander : will numb the mind to the point the person you give it to will simply pass out. I can garantue you they will not reawaken till it is completely passed through their system which takes a minimum of five hours." Other powders were explained as well, each
Xander : having their own unique traits and uses, giving her the information that most of these could even be mixed to get the desired results.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She was intently studying the blade, and even as she did she found the markings she was looking for so close to the hilt that most would have simply over looked them. Even with his explination of not being able to tell her where he found it, she inclined-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : her head for even she could respect a few secrets. But the maker of the blade itself had left his mark and that pleased her more than anything. Granted it wasn't revealed on those ebony planes of such a finding. But it was set down very carefully before-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : her gaze was lifted and moved to the next box he had placed upon the table. As he took out pouches color coded of powders she arched a snowy brow on a one in particular. Could it really do that? Oh she could test it on a few people around here that was-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : for certain, but she herself unfortunately could not take such powders or even test them on herself. For many reasons and one being she must keep control of her mind at all times or devistation would occure in great abundance. " Does it really heighten-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : the experience?.. I mean have you ever sampled it toknow of it's effectiveness? " After all who better to say it worked than one who had tried such right? Grinning a bit mischieviousely she chuckled softly. Oh this would be very hard to choose from for-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : certain. All of these goods she could find so many uses for. She could submerge herself down in her basement for months playing around with the powders alone, but the jewelery she could even alter and make stronger or weaker depending on the actual -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : spell placed upon them. She was at this moment like a child getting to pick out their own candy treat for the first time of their lives. Yet not once did she reveal the manner of how excited she'd become at such unique and rare finds this man had -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : somehow managed to find to sell. He was a human however, and so maybe he didn't quite get the full grasping of just what it was he was holding and presenting to her. Still as she set back into her chair, she crossed a limb over the other in a relaxed-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : poise, her elbow resting upon the arm of the high backed chair while her right hand lifted the mug in sipping of the tea within it. She was calculating mentally, and also going through the usage, the cons and the pros.. but most of all she was even -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : thinking of something far more intrigueing in which maybe the merchant would find equally proffitable for himself. Lowering the mug to the surface of the table, the hand retreated to rest with furled fingers beneath her jawline as she watched the human-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : across from her. " I can see why now you cannot sell such merchandise to simply anyone, and also need to keep it hidden and under wraps so to speak. But truly you have a market here just in these items which make all else that you sell quite paltry. " -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She let her words sink in for the moment. Of course she would be purchasing quite a bit from him this day it would seem. Thankfully for her the coffers from her previouse two homes had arrived with the furnishings or else she would not be doing such -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : a large transaction. -f-
Xander : -Xander gave a firm nod "They work, each of them. I should know because these are made by myself." A short cough was given as she wanted to know if he had ever sampled it "I have, when they still worked on me." Sadly after his small mistake he'd have
Xander : to make the powders far too strong to even effect him, the only one that still worked so potent he'd fear what it'd do to a sane and normal mind. He couldn't help but agree with her on the rest of his more normal wares but then, without those he'd be
Xander : quite stuck for income when he did not frequent the more open minded markets "They are a necesarry burden to bear. Though I have many clients from before I took in such wares as the dagger who are still quite loyal to my services." However back to
Xander : business it was "I do have to warn you, most..if not all of these powders have a certain addictive side effect...even the one that makes the experience so much more enjoyable." He leaned back, little left of that shake in his left leg and now an amused
Xander : expression playing over his features, surely the Drowess would welcome such honesty, not a thing he extended to just anyone when it came to the powders but then he always had an eye for those it was best not kept hidden from.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Of course she accepted the honesty from him, even when answering a more personal inquiery she had put forth to him even. Her pinky idly slid back and forth along her smooth plane as she took in all that he had spoken of. Weighing the options within her-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : mind and also ideas were swiftly forming too. Sitting forward the hand fell away from her features. LIghtly she seperated the dagger, the ruby and even saphire necklaces, and the entire box of the powders from the rest of the items. " For now I will-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : purchase these.. but before you give me a price for these items... I have something in which to put forth to you. I understand such items cannot be sold in just any market or any place because well one the rarity, two the reprecussions of owning such -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : items, but also the guarante that you yourself won't be harmed by the one purchasing the items.. " She paused if only to meet his gaze straight forward, leaving nothing hidden in her unfathomable gaze as she did this. " I work on engineering potions-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : but most of my potions can also be reafirmed to become sticky substances as well to place on weapons. I have been known to enhance other items that are not quite stable, or too weak to do much or cause much of any effect at all. But I wonder if you -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : could use a place in which you could sell these without having to be afraid that someone is going to come knocking on your wagon one day and saying you cannot? " Well that was a start at least. It coming from her above all things was not something-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : offered very lightly either without some thought put into it first and foremost. -f-
Xander : -The merchant could hardly contain the surprise when he saw what exactly the Drowess wished to purchase, almost his entire stock of powders and finally he'd be rid of that damn dagger. She quickly halted the calculations within his head however as she
Xander : put her ideas forward. Quite impressive he found it that she had picked up on the drawbacks of handling such items though there was no real surprise, she clearly knew enough to actually invite him to her house to see them. Dark eyes were set on her as
Xander : she paused, interest obvious in those pools while the thoughfull expression worked to age him even more. "I already have such places but other risks remain involved. If you are suggesting a controlled environment I am more than interested to hear what
Xander : you have in mind." This place was starting to become more interesting with each passing moment, the gathering of such different species and a second offer in terms of business, yes this place really had to become a fixed point on his routes. "Please,
Xander : do go on. Though perhaps it would be best to immediatly state your terms for offering me such a solution." Nothing came for free, he knew that all too well and he certainly didn't expect such from a Drowess.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Those lips curved at how he was expressing himself towards her. It wasn't so much facial expressions, but a light that illuminated his dark gaze, the mannner in how he sat back in a consideration poise also spoke volumes. When one lived in the underdark-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : it was hard pressed to get a detail expression on others for they saw in infared vision, which merely gave them temperatures to view. So to understand a being one had to learn to watch the signs of the body, the shift in the pigments of colors shown to -c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : them as well. For Alaun she'd done as much the same on the surface as she had in the underdark all those years ago. But it was far more detailed on the surface as well. " Yes I was speaking of a highly controlled area in which to sell your wares..-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : spells..to warn me when another encroaches.. and if their intentions are good or for trouble. Think of it as a bastian of guards if you will.. but invisible until the need arises they are needed. I could offer you to sell you wares on these lands..-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : with the protection of myself present for the exchanges. Not many are going to cause a problem with a drow female around.. secondly if they even have a knowledge of whom I am they won't even bat an eye lash the wrong way. As for what I would require -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : from such a partnership.. the first look at new shipments... and if something you have needs to be strengthened or altered to better be sold for profit.. then you can perhaps give me five percent of the sale of the item and you keep the rest of course. -c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : I have little need of funds I've earned my wealth by working hard for many years to accumulate it. My husband.. may the gods terrorize his soul was a merchant a ship merchant at that.. so his wealth was divided between myself and our offspring after his-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : death.. so that added onto my wealth. But nothing is for free even I cannot allow that.. out of good conciouse of course. " She sat back in her chair once more in that regal, yet relaxed poise her hands lacing together to hover at her waist while elbows-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : rested on the arms of the chair. -f-

PostSubject: Re: The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal.   The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal. EmptyFri Nov 21, 2008 12:20 pm

Xander : -Xander's interest over the whole deal grew with every fact revealed, such a controlled space would be perfect for certain type of customers he dealt with, especially if the Drowess truely could strike such fear into them, it certainly opened the door
Xander : to selling some wares to beings that could otherwise not be trusted to even look or sample them without risking his own life. There was a small hint of surprise as she offered a bit of insight as to where she got the obvious touch of a merchant though
Xander : that only worked to his advantage, he wasn't just dealing with a Drowess, she was versed in how a merchant's mind worked. "Five percent for such an offer, first pick on goods and the service you offer sounds fair." Very reasonable even, would he even
Xander : have to think about such an offer? Moving forward elbows were planted atop of his legs, hands coming together to have fingers rest underneath his chin as it was rested on them, thoughtfull expression "I propose a trailrun for this if you do not mind.
Xander : See if this deal works out for both of us. If one is not happy about how it works out we can break the agreement, no hard feelings with either." Xander never tied himself down to a deal right away but she had his acceptance, that was something.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She gave a nod of her head as he reitterated the proposal put forth to him. That was what she offered out on the table. And well she certainly wasn't one to not offer something and then reneg on the proposition given. With his acceptance, and asking-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : for a trial run she ruminated such within her mind. It truly wasn't a bad idea. It would save quarrels and what not if such did not work out. After all she would rather not be placed in a situation that she could not find an easier way to leave it -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : without the harming of others. Not that she was opposed to harming others of course. " Very well we can do that.. how long do to propose the trial run to go on for? " Oh never leave a loose end in a buissness deal that was what she learned from her-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : departed spouse but also when being a diplomatic chancellor over the citidel of the realms between. It was she who choose the alliances, and severed them if the need arose. At one t ime she was in control of well over a hundred different realms across -c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : the lands and planes of existences. It was a lucreative but also highly profitable job for her. " Now that we have that out of the way.. how much for these items here.." She guestured to the dagger and the two necklaces, with the box of powders she'd-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : set out from the other items. -f-
Xander : -Remaining in that pose he thought about the term of the trail, giving how long it'd take to set up the news to those customers and the time he had to spend restocking on powders and other items "...I need a month to prepare for this and I believe one
Xander : month for the actual period should be enough. I mean, if it is not clear that it is going to work in that timeframe it means it'll never work." Once this news had been delivered his form relaxed as it leaned back in the seat again, eyes moving over the
Xander : the items she had set aside and the actual box of powders "Hmm..." Calculations were made, inventory of the box pulled forward to compare amounts of which powder were in there, the necklaces and then the dagger "...I believe 30 platinum for the whole
Xander : lot would be a fair price, don't you agree?" Though would there be much room to negotiate with the merchant on this? Clearly she'd be able to see the determination in those eyes.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She canted her head to his deliverance of a time frame for thier trial run. It was a good estimation and he was right, if by that ammount of time it was seen it could not work out than that was certainly an indicator that it never would. So she agreed -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : to those terms with an inclination of her head. At the price for the items she set aside, she thought upon it intently as well as stareing into his eyes while she did this. No she had no arguments upon the set price for it all. NOt with the dagger and -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : the necklaces she was obtaining. The dagger alone was woth ten platinum if not more because of its rarity, and the necklaces though they appeared quite common to the eye of the beholder were strong and genuine. It wasn't just the stones this time around-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : it was also in the metal which held them to contribute to their strength and factors. Rising smoothly from her seat she walked around the table and himself, and down a dimly lit corridor to another room. Within she went to where she kept her -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : platinum coffers, there were so many more stashed around the home it wasn't funny. A dragon would love her home and want to horde away all that the home held. But that was neither there nor here. She found the right box she was looking for, and lifting -c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : it carried it with her from the room to return back to the table. There she set the ornate mithiril chest down infront of the man. It was small no more than a palm sized thing, and yet it glinted in the firelight from the candles surrounding them. -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Fingers weaved over the boxed with slight depression given to the pads. Clicks might be heard by him since he was close enough to the box to hear such otherwise most sounds were not heard by humans. When her hand drew away the lid opened and there -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : within was the ammount agreed upon. " There you are.. also before I forget.. as you can see my home is quite large for one living alone.. when these private transactions take place for special items.. they are more than welcome to rent a room to-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : stay in for the whole process.. Yes there is another Inn by the tea house.. but I think the customer would feel more secured here. " -f-
Xander : -Xander waited patiently while she left the room, eyes moving to the box she placed on the table and proceeded to open, a pleasant smirk moving over his features as the contents were revealed "Quite a pleasure doing business with you miss." Another
Xander : piece added to the already interesting offer simply had him nodding at her "That seems like a good solution, some of them might not exactly play well with the others around here." or the ones who would be gathering here themselves. One would perhaps
Xander : expect the merchant to pick up the coin earned and excuse himself to leave, Xander however leaned back again and held his gaze on the Drowess "Now that business is settled, feel free to ask what you wish to know." Oh she wasn't the only one who could
Xander : observe or realise things, besides if she was so attuned to hear the vibrations of the magical items she'd have sensed the aura around him as well, perhaps he might even find some answers no one was able to give so far "Is that not why you invited me
Xander : to your house? Because this transaction and discussion could have easily taken place within my wagon. I told you I wasn't allowed to put them on display to sell. I wasn't told a thing about my own wagon." Of course he had been told not to sell at all
Xander : but he had a way of bending certain words to his own profit.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She chuckled as she settled back within her chair. Reaching for the pot of tea in which she poured them both some more of the jasmin bud brew. Though when he asked her of why she had invited him to her house, her brow rose and she canted her head-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : subtly in a manner that spoke he was quite right in his presumptions. " I'd not have you show me such wares in your wagon.. it is not as protected to minimize the auras that these items give off.. that was one reason why I invited to do the transactions-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : here. Also it is more private and not other ears to hear what we discuss.. I am a private person Sir Xander.. yet on occassion I find that my intrigue and curosity to be pricked quite well. You Sir.. have done just that.. " No it wans't just about the-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : items he'd not had on display either.. She had felt his aura.. it was a strange aura.. it changed unconciousely perhaps by him, but to her it was something that which she picked up. It was never consistent. " Well for one.. I suppose I would like to get-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : to know you better.. we are going to venture into a partnership. I do not think now it is too much to ask to learn such things about you is there?.. " She set the pot aside and lifted her mug within those slender spindles of ebony. Looking to him -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : through the steam which rose from the heated liquid in the vessel as it was lifted to hover near those plush tiers. " Well like your leg.. Your older physically while your mind.. well your mind is quite young still. Your body seggests at one point you-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : might have been a warrior, or a knight of sorts.. but now you are a merchant.. how has it all come about for you? " -f-
Xander : -The Drowess would actually be surprised at how well that wagon could be protected though he'd of course keep such information to himself, he had been invited her so there was no need to tell her. "Just Xander, I'm a simple merchant after all." The fact Xander : he had caught her interest had been quite obvious already though perhaps not so obvious that it wasn't over simply the wares he could sell her. "A partnership of business miss, I see little reason to share personal details with one another." Well
Xander : perhaps not as polite the tone as in the earlier proceedings but then she had told him she wasn't all for polite herself. "My leg is just damaged, that is all." Was she really expecting someone who was capable of hiding such wares as she had just
Xander : purchased to simply tell her details of things he even rarely talked about with others? No, not this easily, if she wanted details she'd have to make a little effort "And a warrior? Perhaps I am just prepared for any thief that tries to steal from me
Xander : while I am on the road." Of course there was the fact he had made that over formal greeting to her the first time they had met but perhaps she'd just account that to him being respectful towards her kind.-

PostSubject: Re: The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal.   The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal. EmptyFri Nov 21, 2008 12:21 pm

Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Lids lowered partly over her violet gaze as he more or less skipped around the prominance of her words and told her what he thought she would most like to hear. Little did he know he was not as good at keeping things so secret as he had wanted to be.-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Had she not known of the items that were not on display? Was she not the first to ask him to see such items in a private setting? Indeed she had been and yes attention to detail was her forte.. she couldn't survive this long on the surface if she did -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : not at least take in details within a split fraction of a moment. " Oh yes.. of course.. and the military stance in greetings is nothing but something you picked up hmm? " She arched her brow to him skepticly , clearly letting him know she did not once-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : believe his explinations made to her. " no I have seen militaries far and wide and something like that is not picked up on but drilled into a person until they can do it without even a thought that they are doing it.. I am over three hundred years old..-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : I have seen and known many individuals.. but your aura is by far the most complicated one for being a human.. Belive me when I say what you tell me in this room in this house.. shall not go any further..I've my own secrets after all..-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : and burdens to bear like any other person. I only ask you these things.. to further my knowledge. Not to destroy you. " -f-
Xander : -Xander shook his head, seemed this was someone words weren't going to trick though she was right, behaviour drilled into a mind was hard to forget, even if the mind had been through several hellish places and back. "So I've been in the military, that
Xander : far some interesting. Plenty of people serve some time before going on to other areas." Of course his departure had been a forced one. Leaning forward he moved back into the position of before, elbows leaning atop of legs, chin leaning down on hands
Xander : "This aura is what makes me capable of dealing in goods such as that dagger. I'm sure you realised I wouldn't have been able to get my hands on it if not for this aura." Same for the hellhound and other such gifts he had accumulated over the years this
Xander : had happened "And please, anyone can lure someone to their house, pretend they wish to find out because it has them interested and it won't be used to harm the one giving the information." It seemed Xander was throwing polite completely out the window
Xander : "It's not because you let me in on the fact you had a merchant husband or have offpsring that I am to suddenly share information with you. You wish to know you give me an interesting enough reason to do so."-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She sat back in her chair after setting her tea down and well.. laughed.. truly laughed a heartiy sound emitting from her mouth. Was he trying to piss her off? Perhaps but he'd find that she was not easy to anger. Annoyed yes.. but to let her anger take-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : firm hold? That was too risky to even attempt. But he wanted to know of something from her before shareing such information of himself? Now he was treading on shaky ground with her. But as soon as her laughter died which felt rather good, for she'd not-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : laughed so fully in many years. " Alright.. lets say I give you something to impart upon.. " she paused as she rose from her seat, only because she was not used to resting for such a long period of time, and moved towards the hearth where a log was -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : placed upon the burning flames to make them grow once more from thier lowering light. Turning hse looked to him with a hands to rest on the flared curve of her hips. She wore simple breeches and a peasants shirt with her boots today. Nothing fancy and -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : yet despite her wealth she had no need nor reason to dress in the grand styles any more. There wasn't a court for her to visit or one in which she'd wish to go within at present to dress to the nines for. " Tell me if you have heard this story or not..-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : It is told that a long ago a drow was born with an inate gift.. One that which was sought after by the most greediest of drow matrons to ever rule or live within the underdark. They kept their eyes on this drow, as well as their family for one day -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : seek to gain this drows favor for their own house hold.. However it came when many houses from the lowest to the most noblest offered this drow young but fully grown many gifts and treasures to join their sides. The drow sent them all on their way.. -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : and even one in particular which was told to be Lloth herself. Lloth so angry that someone would actually dare to thwart her plans and turn her away without a second thought ruined this house and believed to have killed all within it. -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : But years alter this drow emerged and created their own house..oh this drow was ruthless and deadly.. none told them no.. none even dared to think of double crossing her.. just because of this 'gift' they were given.. they were the most feared in the-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : underdark. Eventually this drow handed over the reigns.. and the house fell when the drow in particular simply dissapeared.. It wouldn't be for a few more years till word of this drow was once more spoken of.. Cities started to be destroyed one by one.-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Innocents and those not were nothing more than a liquid mass of flesh left behind in the wake of this terror upon the surface.. It was so bad that a ban on drows was issued across many lands and planes of existence for the fear that.. one particular -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : drow would come and cause devestating losses...ones in which would not be able to be recuperated upon.. Well it said such a drow is only a myth and that it was a dragon or some horde of demons to have actually caused such surmountable destruction... -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : but now because of that myth the drow is revered in secret societies, and guilds.. but there has been no more such sightings or destructions to even validate the truth of this tale.. " She drew quiet after she spoke it, she watched him through out the -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : telling of this tale. That could have been anyone when myths were created.. yet now and then a bard would speak upon it even in this day and age.. she'd found a few bards who recalled the tale but it was now thought of as a mere story to tell kids -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : to behave themselves. with little belief in the matter. -f-
Xander : -Well laughter hadn't exactly been what the merchant was expecting but he figured it was better than anger to lash out at him. Eyes followed the Drowess as she moved to the hearth, wondering what knowledge she'd give up to learn about his. However when
Xander : she started on a tale told by bards and their like he almost bursted out laughing himself this time. Would she really think he had not heard of such a tale? He hated bards, they draw coin away from the merchants whenever they happened upon a marketplace Xander : but that didn't mean he had never listened to their tales. Far too many he had heard yet this one was a tale any bard that knew it would love to tell though only when their crowd was formed with adults and not a child in sight, besides the few cruel
Xander : ones that didn't care either way. When she finished he shook his head "You are telling me a myth, one which plenty of people have heard about and you expect that to persuade me?" He got up from the seat, collecting the payment she had put down for the
Xander : goods she had purchased "I'm not a kid you can scare with the tale of the Dalael miss, better luck next time." Cane was collected as well and he started moving to the door, he had expected more from her.-

Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She watched him and well she more or less expected that reaction.. but the fact he knew of the Dalael would make a greater impression on him perhaps. As he collected the payment and his cane. She watched him hobble towards the door yet she waited till-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : he had the portal opened. " It isn't a tale.. i am the Dalael.. " ANd if he laughed at such a very truthful given statement. Well.. The room itself began to vibrate, her eyes glowed an eerie shade of violet/crimson as she stared at the man's back. -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : locks within her mind began to release the psionic energy to have tendrils snake through the distance of a room between them in order to seek the man's own mind. If connection was given, it wasn't a light brushing like that which she had given to the-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : hellhound outside but a much larger wave, one which could cause ample pain to intensify. Making the mind feel as if a headache or a hangover were mere nuisances than what he should be currently feeling. But through those tendrils she pushed further. The-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : panes of glass rattled violently as if they would shatter, the doors all began to tremble further and the ground outside started to become unsettling in its vibrations like the beginning of an earthquake was occureing. She would reveal to him though -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : this connection if established with him. The horrors of the faces as they gripped their heads in her walking towards them. The crumbling of buildings being torn apart by air seeming to waver and warp in a ring of destruction. Would this prove her point -c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : to him? Though it wouldn't last long... no she would not cause damage or great harm upon this man at all.. So she would retract just as quickly as she might have intruded and seal up her mind once again with knowing clicks and locks of her mind. Leaving-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : him if with anything at all as a result of such an action taken a very minor throbbing of his head, like that to the beginnings of a headache. Of course she herself gripped the nearest back of a chair to steady herself after such a usage.. it drained -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : her more when she used it with control, than it did when she used it in her fury or her being utterly unable to keep the seals of her mind in place. -f-
Xander : -How could he not laugh over the fact she claimed to be a being that had been deemed a myth? "Right." Then however the reaction began and Xander looked back, doorhandle still in hand. When the invasion on his mind began cane dropped to the floor as a
Xander : look of horror took over. A lot of things could be done to the man yet a trip down memory lane was not one of them and while she didn't exactly take him there the sights she showed him were painful enough to pull such memories forward, left leg
Xander : trembling violently. The hellhound outside had shot into action the moment it had felt the energy though it wasn't till it's master was actually attacked that it ran towards the house, flesh ripping apart as horns sprouted, claws extending, grey skin
Xander : tightened around bones as it passed Xander and stared towards the Drowess. And while perhaps the after effects were to be minor for Xander they weren't yet even now he realised the beast had come and an order was quickly issued "Stop..." breaths came Xander : in rapid succession "She's no match." The order was ignored however, a low growling sound rumbling from the hound as flames flared up from the sides of it's bared teeth. Muscles twitched as it creeped closer, preparing itself to jump straight at her,
Xander : snap jaws shut as a lock around her throat.-
Kestrel paused at the bank of a small stream to kneel down beside it. His ears rotated a bit as he listened to all the sounds around, while his hands lowered to the chill waters and cupping a handful of the liquid in his palms. He raised his hands and >
Kestrel >drank down the cool water. He sighed a bit at the sounds he could hear all around. He looked down at the frail human form, and for a second, debated on whether to become something more comfortable, but in the end decided that he would remain as he>
Kestrel >was. He stood again, and wiped his lean hands down his simple clothing, removing most of the dirt from it, then resumed walking down the barely visible deer trail towards where he could smell the most amount of people.

PostSubject: Re: The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal.   The Human and the Drowess make a Profitable Deal. EmptyFri Nov 21, 2008 12:22 pm

Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Oh she was certainly vulnerable if the hound decided to attack her at this moment. Her own breaths were labored, and her fingers clutched tightly the back of a plush chair which she leaned against with head bowed and eyes closed. It hurt her own mind-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : more than it would have hurt Xander's only because she took the backlash onto herself so that he would not need know just how much such a pain could be. She trembled as crimson slid from flareing and detracting nostrils, her hand trembling lifted to-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : swipe at the dark liquid as she looked through barely lifted lids at the hound ready to attack her. " I did not harm him greatly of that I give my word to you Hound of Hell.. now back down.. I have no desire to harm you or your master at all.. it was-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : not my intention to begin with.. " She winced at yet another sharp pain which had her frame convulse. Then she slowly lowered to the floor beside that chair. Only because it was better to be there instead of standing where she could truly injure herself-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : more until the full reigning back of such a power could be had. Even as her nose bled like a sive she kept bringing the back of her hand up to try and cease the flow. But she was not worried on the hound, and any action the hound decided to -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : take.. well as she had said.. she did not wish to cause the beast harm. -f-
Kestrel shivered as he felt something almost familiar for a second, but he dismissed the feeling quickly. It had been a very long time since he had felt any form of natural magic that he doubted it still even existed. He stopped at the edge of a new road, >
Kestrel >staring at it almost in wonder "This was not here the last time I came here." he murmured to himself, feet moving as if on their own to follow it to it's source.
Kestrel sniffed and shook his head as he neared a house, not the lavish large mansion he had been living in lately, but a beautiful place on it's own. He stopped in front of the door, hand pausing as he was just about to knock on the door. His training >
Kestrel >slipped to the forefront, and he visually scanned the whole portal for traps, both seen and unseen. Once he was assured there was nothing that would hurt him there, his hand descended on the door in a firm knock, much louder and stronger than one >
Kestrel >of his lean build would seem capable of. He stepped back at once, allowing those inside the room to open the door, hands dropping almost instantly to his side, in a knife-edge position
Xander : -"I said stop!" He didn't care if the Drowess was bleeding, he didn't trust the whole situation and he wasn't about to lose his best guard over something as stupid as proving who she really was. Slowly Xander was regaining control after the whole ordeal Xander : though mostly he was recovering what his own mind had put back into his head. The words of the Drowess and the sight of her condition did little to sway the hound yet the clear command from behind it at least had muscles relaxing. "Goddamnit listen to Xander : me! Before I send you off to spend time with the fox brat and the command not to kill her!" Well Xander knew how to get the beast in check because quickly it was at his side, sitting down yet the horns stayed out, never knew if this woman was tricking
Xander : both of them. "So...You really are..." Xander dealt with many things but this...should he really keep up the business agreement with her? It made sense why no one would cause trouble here, not if they knew what she was,
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She just relaxed against the back of that chair as she sat with legs sprawled out infront of her on the floor. The loud yelling of commands from Xander to the hellhound hurt her head, and she lifted her other hand not trying to stop the blood flow to-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : her ears which drew back against the sides of her head. Though when he spoke that she was truly the dalael she gave a nod of her head before tipping it back when the hound settled next to Xander and she sighed. " Yes.. I am really her.. Alauniira-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Dalael.. but when I was married I dropped my house name and took on the name of Falconheart. " She had not yet once lied to the man, so she would not have begun now to do such to him now.. But this was a secret many did not know and very few now adays-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : have heard the tale of 'The Dalael' to even realize it was truth not myth. Would he wish to back out on the deal and proposition now? If he did she would hold no hard feelings after all it had just been agreed upon and they were just starting their -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : trial run with the buissness aspect. But she did like to have trust when partnering up for buissness.. it just save a whole lot of greif later on. But at least he would certainly know why none would dare to cause anything to occure if she was around to-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : protect the man and the hound even during such transactions. She drew in a deep breath as she let her left hand fall to her side and she turned her head to look at both man and hound by the opened door. " I appologize.. i did not know of another way in-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : which to prove I was not lieing.. I could have done it on another being.. but there are none currently around otherwise. " -f-
Xander : -So he had just made a deal with such a being, perhaps it was time to keep the hound inside just in case, she would not be able to scold him for such a safety measure after what had just happened right? Hand pushed the door shut, leg still trembling and Xander : worsening the limp as he moved back to the seat he had previous been on, the hound following behind him and as Xander sat down so did it, right at it's master's feet, horns still out and never taking those bloodshot eyes from the drowess. "I see..."
Xander : Still she had done much more than simply proven who she was, she had brought back demons from the merchant that he wanted to keep locked away, better she had just stabbed him or used that dagger to cut off a limb than to do that. "I suppose you want to
Xander : hear me out now? I'm sure this is not knowledge you want everyone to know." The merchant was always quick to recover however and the threat the hound had posed to be had helped him pull away from those thoughts and now he had to relive them if she
Xander : truely wanted to hear his story "Or do you need any help? You do not look well at all..." little concern in that voice however as he could guess the reason why she was in this state and it was all but convincing him to help.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She understood his reiticense towards her now. Most once they knew withdrew completely, was it any wonder that she had been alone for thirty years since her husbands death? It was not easy to move on for one, and secondly most reacted bad when she told-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : that tale and then prooved herself. She hadn't with Izzi of course, she didn't think he needed to know that tid-bit of herself. After all it was a night of needs being met and not anything at all to do with the heart or otherwise. Still she watched as-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Xander moved towards the chair he had previousely occupied, Glad to see he had not been further injured in any way. Of course she had known what deamons she might have unlocked in his mind, for she hadn't read his mind, she'd only given him but a taste-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : of her own memories of that time when she was not at all in control, or cared enough to even want to control her powers. It certainly whom he looked at now however on the floor where she was. Slowly she drew her unsteady limbs beneath her and rose.-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Untucking her shirt she wiped at the last of the blood and even wiped the back of her hand where most had been smeared and dripped on. " It just hurts more when I do it conciousely and not just in loss of control.. that and well I did take back any -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : harm it might have left upon you. It's like having a sling shot snapping back at you instead of going in the direction you pointed it at.. I'll be fine..just give me a few moments.. " She did not expect him to tell her anything about himself.. -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : But he had said she would need to prove something of value to him in order to learn anything of himself hadn't he? Of course he had and thus she had done so.. " No it is not a secret I want many to know.. It has been seventy years since i've told -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : anyone whom or rather what I am.. Yet any who have heard that tale will be leary of any or all drows.. unless of course they happened to be in an area where I destroyed it.. and miraculousely survived. " She heard the knock upon the door, and for a-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : moment she hesitated to answer it. If only because of both Xander's and her own state of condition, but also that of the hound. Though it could be Izzi coming to call and see if she was doing alright.. but she doubted that.. " excuse me a moment.. " -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She continued to dab at her nose the taunt lines of her flat abdomen clearly seen as she slowly crossed the distance to the portal and drew it opened to gaze upon the figure outside. " Yes? " -f-

Kestrel tilted his head with a smirk, sea green eyes glinting red for a second in the change of light "Oh, hello, I was just visiting the area, there seems to be the most amount of people here, to learn from."
Xander : -"...Thanks..." odd to thank her for something she did to prevent him from actual suffering when the act that had caused her current situation could have just been prevented. Cane rested calmly against his right leg, hound leaning against the trembling
Xander : left one to allow heat to pass through the limb. Yet she extended even more knowledge about herself to the merchant and now he just wondered why. Why suddenly tell someone after so long? It made no sense to Xander, she had already proven something
Xander : large enough to warrant him to tell his own tales and still she added to it. A hand moved to touch the hound's horns, which upon touch immediatly retracted into it's skull, allowing Xander to stroke the beast's head. "Of course." He wasn't to stop her
Xander : from answering her own door, he didn't find it very wise with the state she was in and especially not if she actually wanted him to tell her anything.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Why? Because she felt she could trust him enough to understand her somewhat, and if anything occured to where she would need to use such to protect him.. It would not come to as much of a shock perhaps.. for him or the hound at his feet...-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Besides, she doubted he would use such knowledge against him in knowing that bit about her.. for after all who would believe him? Not like he had at first after all.. Still she stood with the door partly opened, looking at the man who stood on her -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : stoop. Well she wasn't in any condistion for visitors, nor was Xander or the Hound, of course she hadn't looked back to see that the hound had retracted his horns either. " I"m terribly sorry.. You may have much better luck at the tea house.. It is -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : just through that small road there.. You'll come out just at the back of the tea house and between that and another home.. " With that said.. she would promply close her door as she stepped back. Taking a moment to draw in a breath, she moved to the -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : table where man and beast sat together. The shirt being released but now stained with her cruor due to her own actions made. Sitting heavily down in her chair she'd sat in before she rested back into it with a curving of her spine along the tall-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : backing with hands to drape loosely over the arms of the chairs. " Someone lost.. " she murmured on the individual who had been at her door. -f-
Xander : -When the Drowess set back down Xander had made up his mind "So...You wish to know, I will tell you." He couldn't just take the information she had given and simply walk off, bad trade which could put a dent in their business agreement. "Yes, I was in
Xander : in the ranks of a military, the greeting I first gave you is proof of that. I am only 27 even if my appearance says otherwise." He motioned to the box filled with powders "I was given something like that and the fool I was wished to try it." Hands
Xander : worked to pull up the sleeves of his wool shirt, revealing the myriad of scars trailing over them, some coiling around the entire lenght to disappear underneath the fabric at his shoulders "I don't know what to call it but I know everything happened on
Xander : a mindscape plane of existance. The things I saw there..." he shook his head, he couldn't name them and had no ability nor desire to show her as she had shown her memories "They inflicted wounds on me, no physical harm was actually done yet they
Xander : appeared on my body." A hand slapped on his left leg "This injury... While in this plane of existance the flesh was ripped from bone. Healers took weeks to repair the physical damage done but it never returned to how it was." The hound finally moved
Xander : leaning against the mentioned leg, trembling having stopped "Of course I had quit the life of a soldier before this happened but as you said, what is drilled in is hard to forget. The aura you feel is something I picked up afterwards. I can't control it Xander : and I didn't even know it was there. Yet with it came a whole new field for me to sell wares on and a whole new stock." Leaning back he'd finally allow his gaze to grace the Drowess, wanted to see if she'd believed any of it or would call him a liar.-

Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She watched him as he spoke, his words sounding in her ears quietly. Her gaze lowered only breifly to take a look upon the scars which riddled his arms and then dissapeared up beneath the cloth of his sleeve, and when he'd tapped his leg, she lowered -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : those violet depths to gaze at the injured limb. She was thoughtful for quite some time after he had finnished. More so to understand what he had been put through. Well she could see how her own proving of self would awaken such demons within his mind.-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Though further still how it was he'd aged physically, and live through all of that to have that uncontrolable aura that permeats around his being in a spectral of colors to those who could read such signs. Lightly the tip of her tongue slid over her -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : tiers before retreating back into the humid dark cavern, that parted in order to speak. Would she laugh at him? Of course not.. she wasn't that way. " The powder you took.. It sounds like a Voyuer powder... It is a necromancer's agent. It is not a-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : easy powder to make, and there is no written recipe for it.. It often granted to a necromancer who superceeds the tests given by whatever hell god they choose to follow..it comes in a form of a vision or a dream often to the necromancer on how to create-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : such a powder. It is made from a form of mushroom.. for the hallucingetic properties.. but the rest is purely magical in its full completion of it. Demons will very rarely use it on another being.. because of what it can do.. You were luckly to have-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : survived it.. but it does explain your uncontrolable aura.. " - f-
Xander : -Lucky? Had she just called him lucky? While he was glad to hear some explenation on what exactly he could have taken that all melted away like snow to fire as she spoke that word. "...You think I am lucky? I lost almost all use for my leg and..." The
Xander : wool sweater and shirt underneath were taken off as he got up, showing her that there was little smooth skin left upon his front and back "You call this lucky?!" The shirt was put back on in a fit of rage, the sweater forgotten since they were inside
Xander : "Yes I am ever so lucky to be filled up on scars to last me a lifetime, look like I'm well past 40 and got a leg that won't allow me to stand up for more than five minutes when winter is at it's worst." He dropped back down in the chair, arms crossing
Xander : infront of his chest, the hound at it's side creeping away from the loud noise. "Damn thing should have killed me. Would have saved me the month or two I spent being forced to stay in bed." Maybe if his own powders would have still worked for him it
Xander : wouldn't have been so bad, take some with water or smoke them, give a nice buzz and forget all about your problems but no.-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : Well for a human he did have a good physique, even with all the scars that riddled the masculine human frame of his. She wasn't disgusted by scars, infact if anyone knew her much at all she found them but a badge of survival and should not once be -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : looked on as repungent, or otherwise. Still in his show of anger that did not phase the drowess, she did however take in a deep breath and incline her head as he shouted at her. Yes he was very lucky to have survived and truly the price he had paid was-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : minimal to what he could have paid with. " Yes.. Lucky Xander.. because you still have your life, your humanity only altered in slight to allow you to handle magic items. But to also sence magic. Others who have had that powder have fared far worse than-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : you have.. " She paused and concentrated for a moment. Now where did she put that book she only placed away last night? Her brows furrowed in thought breifly before she recalled what room and shelf it sat upon. Too tired and still quite unstable on her -c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : limbs to bother getting up out of her seat, she instead weaved her fingers within the air. Making symbols which glowed very breifly and then vanished to summon the book to her. When it rested on the table she leaned forward and opened the bindings -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : greatly frail and aged with a delicate palm supporting and fingers to barely clutch at the leaflets as she turned them. Finding what she wanted she turned the book around and drew it towards him to see for himself. There were some pictures carefully -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : drawn by the mancer who had experiemented with the powder, and written detail to such experiments and how they had gone horribly wrong.. well not for the mancer of course but for those who'd taken the powder to begin witih. " You see.. these beings..-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : these twisted creatures are what resulted from the powder you yourself took.. They are considered demonic beings... but they have no mind of their own, and they are only fueled and moved by the sheer will of it's master. Look at how grotesque their -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : bodies have been warped and altered.. you wouldn't know to look at that picture here.. " she pressed an index finger to one of the images. " Was once a human female now would you? So yes you are lucky my dear merchant.. others have not survived even the-c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : changes and are dead.. " -f-
Xander : -He really didn't care much for the fact she still believed him to be lucky to have survived. The small show of spellweaving almost went by unnoticed as eyes trailed over his own scars "And the demons within your head.." is what he added to the changes
Xander : she had mentioned. Little thought was given as he moved to look at the book, wondering why he should be amazed by the drawings of some demons, he had seen plenty. However it wasn't until she explained that a look of horror set into place, the
Xander : realisation that he could have had turned into something like that...perhaps that's what the scars were from then, perhaps the experiments with his own powders had prevented such a change from happening "Please..." he looked away from the book, hand
Xander : seeking the hound's head, who quickly slipped into it's previous place, the familiar feel of the beast's fur, if one could call it that, calming him down slightly "Fine..I've been lucky..."-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She closed the book with reverence and t hen the spell which summond it forth took it away and back to its resting place within her home. She watched him quietly with a frown upon her features. " YOu should not feel so down about it.. Anger I can-c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : understand.. and the demons that which haunt your mind, is something horrible and i'd not wish on another being at least not when I'm content.. But ilke this dagger you sold me.. it is rare.. and you my freind.. are even more rare. never sell yourself -c
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : short by the scars which riddle your body or the less than adequate limb you have trouble with.. Scars do not make up a person.. it is whats within that does.. Or so it was told me once long ago... " She went quiet then and looked down to the hound-c-.
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : that went to comfort the man. Then feeling a little stronger she stood up and gathered that which she'd purchased from him. Being extremely careful with the dagger. " If you wish I know it is late and extremely cold.. you and also your hound may rest -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : here tonight.. no charge of course. " She carried these items with her. To the hearth she placed the dagger that seemed to match that of the one on the mantle already. She set it in display so that both tips faced each other. And the necklaces -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : she placed away in a casket for safe keepings, and the powders? Well those she just set aside for now out of the way. for she would take care of them -c-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : later of course. -f-

Xander : -Quite the speech she gave him but it was obviously to try and cheer him up. No she had awakened old demons and they'd be with him for the rest of the night. Both merchant and hound looked towards the Drowess in surprise however as a room was offered
Xander : to spend the night. "That is...kind of you miss.." It was normal for him to hesitate right? Still he got up, cane firmly in hand as he gave a nod "We would be quite honored to take such an invitation miss." Even the hound got up now, bowing it's head
Xander : to the Drowess, while the cold of the wagon did not bother itself it knew what it did to it's master's leg. "I will however repay you for such an offer. It is the least I can do after tonight."-
Âláüñïïrâ Ðäläêl : She turned and looked to the both of them and shook her head to the offer of payment. " Consider it my way of righting what I had done unconciousely for not knowing what it would do to you.. " She looked to the Hound and bowed her head to him likewise.-c-
